The 403 is what was know as the 400 last year, the 03 part of the name change indicates the standard 3/16" slider that comes on the shoe. The 3/16" slider is great for 90% of curlers, fast and durable. The benefit to the split slider is increased flexibility and ultimately a little more comfort, whether you go up on your toe while delivering, or just going up and down the sheet sweeping.
